Volume 1 · Week 4 — Listening to God’s Voice
Day 28 — A Willing Life
Main verse
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”
— Isaiah 30:21 (KJV)
Meditation
Listening to God is not an experience reserved for a few exceptional moments. It is a daily disposition: living with a willing heart.
This week, we have learned to be still, recognize the Shepherd’s voice, listen to Scripture, discern, obey, and persevere when God seems silent. All these dimensions lead toward the same invitation: walking with God.
A willing life does not know every detail of the road ahead. It simply says, “Lord, show me what is right today.” It remains attentive in important decisions, but also in ordinary encounters, interruptions, and quiet responsibilities.
God may speak to us through a biblical text, a persistent conviction, wise counsel, or the need of someone placed along our path. Every direction must be tested in the light of Scripture and the character of Jesus.
The essential question, then, is not only, “Will God speak to me?” It is also, “Am I ready to listen to him and follow?”
Psalm
Psalm 143:10 (KJV)
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
